Howdy
My name is Kim Vickers (male, btw.) I am a board member of TX XXI and a Texas Representative for the RCG. I retired after 27 years with the Abilene Police Department to take a job as a Field Agent with TCLEOSE. I continued to live in Abilene while holding that position. I recently promoted to a Director position and needed to move to the Austin area, so to begin making the transition I have rented an apartment in Round Rock and live here during the week. I still travel back to Abilene for the weekends to be with my wife and the grandkids.
I couldn’t decide whether to leave my Harley in Abilene or bring it to RR, but have decided that since I am here all week away from my wife I seriously doubt I will take off riding on weekends. I will soon be bringing my scoot here (got lucky and found a great apartment with attached garage.) I know it’s not the right time of year, but as soon as spring comes I’m sure going to be looking for a group to ride with during the week. Does your chapter ever do any type of supper runs or weekday runs at all? I checked with the Central Texas HOG and they pretty much only do weekends.
I look forward to getting the opportunity to meet you and others in your chapter. From where my apartment is it would be easy to get the Bastrop area if that’s where anything is starting. I have also contacted the Georgetown chapter to see what’s going on there.
